From the classroom to the campaign trail

A native of Brevard County, situated east of Orlando on the space coast, Robert Willis is one of eleven children born to a single mother. Robert faced many challenges as a youth growing up with no father. Overcoming life's adversities, Robert attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) receiving an Associates of Arts in Criminal Justice and his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. As an educator in the Florida education system, Robert currently works as an elementary school teacher at the prestige Emma Jewel Charter Academy in Cocoa, Florida. Being a native of Florida’s Space Coast, Robert worked at Kennedy Space Center for twenty-two years and worked directly with astronauts for five years. Married to the love of his life Stella, her gorgeous beauty inside and out cements their bond. Robert is also an ordained minister of Baptist faith. Robert has committed over forty-two years of his life outside of the classroom assisting with officiating middle and high school basketball games. Teaching golf lessons was another extra-curricular activity Robert enjoyed outside of teaching and after years of broken promises from politicians, Robert decided that it was time to take them to TASK! Here in our state we all have a common GOAL, we all want to see a better Florida. When the people have PASSION for better leadership who carries out the will of the people, FLORIDA will be one again. Robert is ready to continue working outside the classroom for ALL Floridians.
